These terms apply when you engage Backline for website and digital presence services. Project-specific details in an accepted proposal or written agreement will take priority if they differ from these general terms.
Services and engagement
Backline provides custom website and digital presence services. The scope, deliverables, price, timeline, and payment schedule for each project are set out in the proposal or agreement shared with you.
Work begins after you accept the proposal and complete any initial payment or other requirement stated in it.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, content, access, approvals, and feedback needed for the project. You must have the right to use any text, images, trademarks, or other materials you provide.
Delays in receiving required materials or feedback may affect the delivery schedule.
Digital delivery
Our services and deliverables are provided electronically through links, email, or shared project tools. We do not sell or ship physical products. Delivery timing and acceptance steps follow the agreed project scope.
Changes, cancellation, and refunds
Requests outside the agreed scope may require a revised price and timeline. Either party may cancel a project in writing, subject to the terms of the accepted proposal or agreement.
Fees for work already completed and non-refundable third-party costs remain payable. Any unused prepaid balance will be returned unless the accepted proposal or agreement states otherwise.
Ownership and third-party services
Ownership of final custom deliverables transfers after full payment, except for third-party assets, software, fonts, platforms, or tools that remain subject to their own licenses and terms. Any ongoing third-party fees will be identified when relevant.
